How to make Grinder Salad Sandwich


Grinder salad sandwich is a delicious and filling sandwich that's perfect for lunch or a quick dinner. Here's a simple recipe to get you started:

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of Italian or French bread
  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup of red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup of chopped black olives
  • 1/2 cup of chopped green olives
  • 1/2 cup of chopped roasted red peppers
  • 1/2 cup of chopped artichoke hearts
  • 1/2 cup of chopped salami
  • 1/2 cup of chopped ham
  • 1/2 cup of chopped provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup of chopped mozzarella cheese
  • Lettuce leaves

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Slice the Italian or French bread lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.

  4. Spread the dressing evenly over both sides of the bread.

  5. Layer the chopped black olives, green olives, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, salami, ham, provolone cheese, and mozzarella cheese on the bottom half of the bread.

  6. Add lettuce leaves on top of the meat and cheese layer.

  7. Cover the sandwich with the top half of the bread.

  8. Wrap the sandwich tightly in aluminum foil.

  9. Bake the sandwich in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.

  10. Once done, remove the sandwich from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

  11. Unwrap the sandwich, slice it into pieces, and serve.
